Concerning the Forest: The Work of Sandy Walker

Sandy Walker is an artist from our own West Oakland neighborhood. He is showing a newly assembled exhibition at the Meridian Gallery in San Francisco. Sandy is currently a visiting faculty member at the San Francisco Studio School. His work includes large-scale paintings and drawings, as well as woodcuts. In fact, two woodcuts in the Meridian show were among those editioned in this studio by Rebecca Fenton, Bettina Pauly, Anna Edwards, Bill Denham, and Kim Vanderheiden.

Follow the “Keep Reading” link to see paintings and drawings from the show, and examples of the woodcuts by editioned at Painted Tongue Studios.

Our studio has worked together with Sandy to print some of his woodcut pieces.  Here are a couple example of prints that we’ve printed for this artist.
